HOMEWORK
Reading Books
Little Wandle Fluency Chapter Books
A little reminder that reading books will come home/changed on Mondays. At least 3 chapters should be read at home through out the week (it would be lovely if the children could read the whole book). You can also access the reading book online using the E- Collins log in, if you need any help with this please ask the class teacher.
Little Wandle Phase Books
A little reminder that reading books will come home/changed on Mondays. In school children will have three guided reading sessions focusing on Decoding, Prosody and Comprehension. These books should be read at least 3 times at home through out the week. You can also access the reading book online using the E- Collins log in, if you need any help with this please ask the class teacher.

Numbots
We still use Numbots in year 2! It's a brilliant way of boosting arithmetic. We recommend 5-10 minutes per week. We will still award Numbots certificates in our celebration assembly. Login's have been put in the front of childrens reading records. If you are unsure of your username or password please ask a member of staff in Hazel class as we will be able to locate this information for you.
TTRS
We ensourage the use of TTRS, from January for Year 2s. Again, 5-10 minutes a week. In January, we will give out TTRS certificates in our celebration assembly. Usernames and passwords are the same as Numbots. If you are unsure of your username or password please ask a member of staff in Hazel class as we will be able to locate this information for you.

Reading Comprehension
Please note that the Oxford eBook Library has a wide range of books for you to read at home. Once on the webpage you can join for free and select books by age, by level or by book type of series. If you are unsure of the book band/ level your child is on please contact your class teacher through the class email.

Free Books from Hertfordshire Library Service
If you are not already a library member, you can fill out an easy online form. Parents can order book for their children using an online form and collect it from your nearest library, don’t forget to bring your own bag to collect the book. The library will be able to supply age appropriate reading books rather than specific school reading scheme (book bands).
Additionally, if you are a library member you are also able to access the free e-library where children can read books from Borrow Box.
