Involvement in our Local Community

We have many links with the local community in a variety of ways. Some of these include performance and participation whilst others are charitable. Some even combine the two.

Community involvement includes:

• Harvest collections
• Remembrance collections and wreath-laying at town memorial
• Operation Christmas Child shoebox collections
• Orchestra and choir performances at the Howard Centre in Welwyn Garden City and Hoddesdon town centre
• Mini police project included visiting local home for elderly residents  
• Gala Festival at the Royal Albert Hall
• Participating in Broxbourne Carnival many times – achieving Best in Parade and Best School awards
• Entries in the annual essay writing competition organised by Rotary Club
• Entries including supporting organisation of the local sports events
• Performing at Choir of the Year competition in Broxbourne
• Fund-raising for many charities including Red Nose Day, Children in Need, Sports Relief
• Christingle Service for the whole school held at Haileybury Chapel – all families invited.
