Involvement in our Local Community
We have many links with the local community in a variety of ways. Some of these include performance and participation whilst others are charitable. Some even combine the two.
Community involvement includes:
- Harvest collections
- Remembrance collections and wreath-laying at town memorial
- Operation Christmas Child shoebox collections
- Orchestra and choir performances at the Howard Centre in Welwyn Garden City and Hoddesdon town centre
- Mini police project included visiting local home for elderly residents
- Gala Festival at the Royal Albert Hall
- Participating in Broxbourne Carnival many times – achieving Best in Parade and Best School awards
- Entries in the annual essay writing competition organised by Rotary Club
- Entries including supporting organisation of the local sports events
- Performing at Choir of the Year competition in Broxbourne
- Fund-raising for many charities including Red Nose Day, Children in Need, Sports Relief
- Christingle Service for the whole school held at Haileybury Chapel – all families invited.
