Reading Books

Little Wandle Phase Book

A little reminder that reading books will come home on a Wednesday after the children have completed each reading session; Decoding, Prosody and Comprehension. We kindly ask that the reading book is promptly brought back on a Monday in order for others to use. You can also access the reading book online using the E- Collins log in, if you need any help with this please ask the class teacher.

EXTREME READING COMPETITION

Dear Families,

Where is the most interesting place your child has ever read a book? Whether it is up a tree or on top of a mountain, we want your photos! Your challenge is to take a picture of your child reading somewhere extreme and send it into school by Friday 20th March. We are doing this to celebrate World Book Day and the 2026 National year of Reading.

There will be prize for the most extreme places that reading has taken place and we will also be creating a display. Please send your printed pictures or photos, clearly labelled with your child’s name and class, into your child’s class teacher.

Please do not email your images into school as we will be unable to print these off.

We are looking forward to seeing who has such a passion for reading that they have to do it anywhere and everywhere!

Kind regards,

 L Jones

English Subject Leader
